Kura Map
Four places worth stopping at when you come to Kurama.
Kurama Onsen
Directly opposite Kurama Kobo. A natural sulphur spring. You can drop in straight after a walk in the mountains.
Kurama Tsujii
A shop on the Kurama road selling kinome-ni, sansho pepper leaves simmered in soy. It shows how the sansho of Kurama has been eaten in this area.
Kishimoto Shoten
A kinome-ni shop in front of Kurama Station on the Eizan Railway. You can also try their sansho ramen.

Kinone-michi, the root path
Beyond Kurama-dera, on the trail that crosses the mountain to Kibune. The ground is solid bedrock, so the roots spread across the surface like a net. It is a place where you feel the sheer force of living things.
