Kurama Kobo stands directly opposite the bus stop used by visitors to Kurama Onsen.
The Kurama River runs close by, so you can always hear the water. There is an open garden at the back, and maple trees along the river in front. The building is a traditional house, once a Kurama family home, which we are renovating.

Kurama Kobo is right in front of Kurama Onsen. On the Kyoto Bus, get off at the Kurama Onsen stop.
By train
Eizan Railway to Kurama Station, about 30 minutes from Demachiyanagi.
From Kurama Station it is a 12 minute walk. You can also take the bus bound for Kurama Onsen.
By car
There is parking, but only a small number of spaces. If you are coming by car, please get in touch in advance through the contact form.
A little more time in Kurama
Nearby you will find Kurama Onsen, a shop selling kinome-ni, and the Kinone-michi root path. To get to know the area around the workshop, have a look at Kura Map as well.
What to look for
Look for the sign for Kurama Onsen. The Kurama River runs right beside this road. There is an open garden at the back, and maple trees on the riverbank in front.
