くらまの水 さんしょエール
Enjoy Kurama sansho in a glass.
Kurama no Mizu Sansho Ale uses sansho pepper grown by generations of the Imae family. We are preparing to share this local ingredient in a new form.
With citrus-like aromas reminiscent of mandarin and lemon and a refreshing taste, the ale has a pale golden color similar to a typical pilsner.
Sansho and water, both from Kurama.
Sansho grown in Kurama is sent to the brewery and made into beer. We collect water from Kurama’s local public water supply and send it to the brewery. Its source is the Kurama No. 1 water intake facility, where water is pumped from approximately 60 meters underground.

Sansho passed down through generations
Kurama Kobo’s work begins with materials found here. Sansho for this ale is one of them. Sharing the materials we have grown in a new form is part of what we do.
